Frontal shield with distinct marginal pores; rarely with additional scattered frontal pores. Orifice cleithridiate (keyhole-shaped) or lepraloid, with lateral condyles. Oral spines present or absent. Avicularia adventitious or interzooidal. Ovicells present. Interzooidal communications by septula or pore chambers.
