General characteristics are, body size 4.3 to 7.8 mm. With 23 tibial and 41 tarsal segments in feeler. Median eye well developed and eye tubercle low, reduced in size. Basal cheliceral tooth I with distal cusp longer than the proximal cusp.

They are fast moving individuals who hide quickly when they are discovered. At night waiting for their prey and stalking with their pedipalps.

Charinus sp, likes living in disturbed places and is often found under rocks, fallen logs and palm leaves. It has also been found in places built by humans, demonstrating its adaptability to changes in the environment.
