Antennae: 2 present, or 3 present. Median antenna present, or absent; attached on posterior part of prostomium; Lateral antennae attached dorsally; the median antenna may be rudimentary or absent. Ocular peduncles or ommatophores present; separated from each other. Palps smooth; short. Pharynx with 38 pairs of terminal papillae (up to 38). Elytra margins smooth. Parapodial branchiae present. Superior neurochaetae long and tapering, more or less hirsute.
