Buccal tentacles smooth. Branchiae 4 pairs. Branchiae composed of 2 or more types, include both smooth and papillose/pennate pairs, none basally flanged. 2 pairs smooth and 2 pairs papillose. Paleae on segment 3 absent. Dorsal crest present, on either segments 6 or 7. Nuchal (post branchial) hooks on segment 4 present. Notopodia all similar. Notochaetae present from segment 5 or segment 6. Neuropodia present, tori of similar length throughout thorax. Segments 3–6 with fine acicular neurochaetae. Number of pairs of thoracic uncinigers 12, or 13. Abdominal notopodial rudiments present.
