Remarks. The specimens match descriptions of A. vanhoeffeni by Russell (1957 a, 1970) and Larson (1986 b): i. e., the stomach is cruciform, with a pair of dark spots at each end of the cross. This is the first record of A. vanhoeffeni in Australian waters.
