Type host. Buteogallus meridionales (Latham) (Aves: Accipitridae). Site of infection. Small intestine. Type locality. Argentina, Formosa Province, Pirané, Bellaco wetland (26 ° 17 ʹ 35 ʺS, 59 ° 06 ʹ 67 ʺW). Holotype: MLP 5883. Paratypes: MLP 5884 (9 specimens). Reference. Lunaschi & Drago (2009).
