Remarks. Holotype and two paratypes deposited in the Colección Nacional de Parasitología in the Museo Argentino de Ciencias Naturales Bernardino Rivadavia, Buenos Aires, Argentina; sixteen paratypes and two sets of serial sections deposited in the Colección Parasitológica del Centro Regional Universitario Bariloche, Universidad Nacional del Comahue, San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina; two paratypes deposited in the British Museum (Natural History) Collections of The Natural History Museum, London, UK. Curran et al. (2006) considered this a second species in the yet unnamed Creptotrema – like genus, and Viozzi et al. (2009) maintain it in the original genus until new taxonomic and molecular comparisons are done.
