Type host. Phalacrocorax brasilianus (Gmelin) (Aves: Phalacrocoracidae). Site of infection. Stomach. Type locality. Chile, VIII Región, Laguna Santa Elena (37 º 15 ʹS, 72 º 28 ʹW). Holotype: 3 MLP 6208. Paratypes: MLP 6209 (allotype Ƥ), MLP 6210. Remarks. Holotype accession number in Genbank is GQ 847539. Reference. Garbin et al. (2011).
