ABOUT
Descriptions(2)
Remarks. Reptadeonella violacea is widespread in mostly warm-temperate areas, although in the Atlantic it reaches the Isle of Man (Hayward & Ryland, 1999). It is abundant in the Mediterranean, Cape Verde Islands, West Africa, Gulf of Mexico, Brazil and the Pacific Coast of North America (Hayward & Ryland, 1999). In Madeira, R. violacea was previously recorded by Norman (1909) and is fairly common on the south coast of the island (Canning-Clode and Kaufmann, pers. obs.).
