ABOUT
Descriptions(2)
Remarks. Only one previous work reported A. anguina in Madeira, as a common species on seaweeds (Norman 1909). Aetea anguina is considered a widespread species in temperate and tropical waters but not in polar waters. This species grows in shallow water, mainly on seaweeds, but it is possible to find it on rocks, shells, hydroids or other bryozoans (Prenant & Bobin 1966; Hayward & Ryland 1998). The specimens recorded in this study were found on rock samples, particularly parts covered by coralline algae.
