Descriptions(1)
Distribution: PA, NA, NT, AU Habitat: ES, SL Comments: The cosmopolitan distribution of this species, commonly known in the literature as Neanthes succinea, is the result of deliberate introduction into inland saline lakes for aquaculture food (North America and? Europe) and accidental introduction from shipping (southern hemisphere). Reports of this species in the ponto-caspian region need to be verified as there is confusion in the literature between this species and Hediste diversicolor.
