Geographic distribution. Holarctic species. Irtysh River area: the Irtysh River (N 50 º 25 ′ 26 ′′ / E 80 º 12 ′ 34 ′ '; N 52 º 16 ′ 52 ′′ / E 76 º 56 ′ 06 ′′; N 52 º 18 ′ 33 ′′ / E 76 º 53 ′ 00 ′′; N 52 º 19 ′ 17 ′′ / E 76 º 53 ′ 22 ′′), the Semipalatinka channel (N 50 º 24 ′ 06 ′′ / E 80 º 14 ′ 36 ′′). Ecology. The species was recorded only in the watercourses. It is confined to the habitats of molluscan shellfish.
