ABOUT
Descriptions(1)
Remarks: there is no other report of this species (only re-arrangement in other genera). Probably it was misidentified (damaged specimen) or is a rare species. Because there are no reports of medusae from the Ecuadorian coast, its status is maintained until further specimens are found. Distribution in South America: medusa — Pacific Ocean, Ecuador, at Puná Island, near Guayaquil (Vanhöffen 1888). Habitat: neritic species.
