Distribution and habitat. Bachia dorbignyi occurs in Brazil, Peru, and Bolivia, with a southern Amazonian distribution (Fig. 4). In Brazil, it is known from the states of Rondônia and Mato Grosso. As B. didactyla, information about its ecology and habitat is scarce. Castrillon & Strussman (1998) found B. dorbignyi in a semideciduous forest, under a fallen log, and Gainsbury & Colli (2003) in a sandy cerrado enclave.
