Remarks. Perkins (1985) redefined the genus Bhawania with a complete description of the body and the morphological characters of the segments, but he did not emphasize the importance of the paleae morphology. He also suggested that the species composition of Bhawania needs to be reassesed and requires a major revision especially with regards to the paleae. This need is reflected in some species originally described as Bhawania, but subsequently reassigned to other genera, as Paleaequor brevis (Gallardo, 1968) and Arichlidon reyssi (Katzmann, Laubier & Ramos, 1974).
