ABOUT

Descriptions(1)

The teeth of this genus are intermediate in form between those of Laelaps and Paronychodon. They have one flat and one convex side, whose junctions form the anterior and posterior edges of the crown as in the latter genus; and like the latter, there is, no anterior cutting edge, but instead, a solid angle. But the posterior edge is denticulate as in Laelaps, and the plicae or keels of Paronyclrodon are here only recognizable in low angles. Some light may be cast 0 n the affinities of the latter genus by the discovery of Zapsalis.
