A Neotropical species, all of whose parasitic stages are usually col-lected from Squamata: Iguanidae. Durden et al. (2015) found adults on Squamata: Boidae, and larvae on Squamata: Colubridae and Teiidae. There are no records of Amblyomma antillorum causing human parasitism.
