Type material. Holotype. PERU: Ayacucho Region, Sivia [ca. 12 ° 30 ’ S, 73 ° 51 ’ W]. Old type material. Weidner (1960), p. 61, No. 4. Holotype (as Ballophilus peruvianus). Collection remarks. The specimen was collected during the Hamburger Südperu-Expedition in 1936 and sifted from moist soil in rainforest habitat. Additional remarks. The specimen was destroyed by fire in World War II (Weidner 1960). Current systematic position. Ballophilus peruanus Verhoeff, 1941.
