Records in this study. None. Previous records in the Algerian Sahara: None. Previous records in the Hauts Plateaux and coastal area. There is an old record near Annaba (Lucas 1846) that may refer to this taxon.

Comments. No Triops were found in recent surveys of the coastal region near Annaba (Samraoui & Dumont 2002; Ghaouaci 2018). However, the occurrence of T. cancriformis has recently been confirmed in neighboring Tunisia (Marrone et al. 2016).
