Comments. This study describes the first occurrences of this species in both Tassili N’Ajjer in the Central Sahara and Laghouat in the northern Sahara. The species may also inhabit freshwater habitats in the Sahara. In addition, our investigations have confirmed its occurrence in the Hauts Plateaux. The taxonomy of T. granarius s. l. needs to be revised (Korn & Hundsdoerfer 2006; Korn et al. 2013).
