Previous records in the Sahara, Hauts Plateaux, and coastal area. Daday (1915) mentioned that its distribution may be limited between 0 ° – 8 ° of eastern longitude, 30 ° – 36 ° of northern latitude. In addition, it has been recorded in Jemot (Beladjal & Amarouayache 2023).

Comments. C. algericus has been recorded for the second time after more than 100 years by Beladjal & Amarouayache (2023). However, the distribution and taxonomy of both C. algericus and C. tetracerus warrant further investigation.
