Remarks: This species is vicariant of Mannophryne urticans (Barrio-Amorós et al. 2010 b). Distribution: Region 1. Once believed widespread along the Venezuelan Andes. Today restricted to the Chama River Valley and its tributaries (río Mocotíes), between 195 – 1,900 m by Barrio-Amorós et al. (2010 b).
