Descriptions(1)
Type material and localities. The type material of Enterion terrestre is deposited in the Natural History Museum Paris and was still available for study in 1937 (Tétry 1937: 4). The exact geographical distribution of this species is difficult to determine, as it has long been confused with Ap. longa. Most probably it shows an Atlantic type of area distributed from Bretagne (France) to Belgium and Switzerland. It has a more limited distribution compared to its sister species Ap. longa. The introduced North American mentions probably all refer to Ap. longa (Gates 1975, Fender 1985).
