Comments.
Bocage (1867 a) first recorded several specimens collected by Anchieta in Benguela, Catumbela and Dombe as Homodactylus bibroni, and presented a specimen to the British Museum on 13 July 1867 (NHMA /DF/ZOO/200/1/195). Boulenger (1885 a) cited the specimen as Pachydactylus bibronii and was followed by Bocage (1895 a).
