This dataset contains the 2016 Swiss Red List of vascular plants, which assesses the extinction risk of native, archaeophytic and naturally established non-native plant species, distinguishable subspecies, apomictic plant species (lineages; asexually reproducing plant species) and hybrid plant species in Switzerland. The assessment follows the IUCN Red List criteria adapted for national use and provides a scientifically grounded basis for conservation policy, biodiversity monitoring, and habitat management. The dataset includes a legend with information on the Red List and a separate file with the vernacular names in different languages.
